Final Fantasy III (DS) August 27, 2009
Posted by Archbishop Xero in : Nintendo DS, RPG , add a commentI have been looking for a game to sink my time into on road trips and such. I love my RPGs, especially those with good stories. Usually, that means I fall to a Square-Enix game — and that’s what I intend to do this time as well. Instead of choosing a game in the series I have played before, I chose Final Fantasy III. This was a Japan-only release for the longest time, and even though it was released in 2006, I finally have the time to try it out. Hopefully, it will be worth the time!

“Extended Play Download Days” through October 2008 September 5, 2008
Posted by xerocube in : News, Puzzle, RPG, Racing, Rhythm, XBOX 360 , add a commentMicrosoft is running an “Extended Play Download Days” promotion between now and the end of October. This includes downloads for various games, including: Oblivion, Mass Effect, and Guitar Hero 3. The obvious gems are the Shivering Isles DLC for Oblivion and the track packs for Guitar Hero 3.
Beautiful Katamari also makes this list with 8 discounted items; bring the DLC from ludicrously expensive to just overly expensive. But if you have been on the fence for these items, this is your time to jump in.
Fallout 3 Release Date August 21, 2008

I have always been a huge fan of the Fallout IP and have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new installment. From the press release:
Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that its highly anticipated title, Fallout® 3, will be available on store shelves and online in North America on October 28, 2008 and in Europe on October 31, 2008.
More information comes from Amazon.com in terms of pricing and editions. There will be three editions to the game: Standard, Collector’s, and, the Amazon.com exclusive, Survival editions for the XBOX 360, PS3, and the PC. I can’t tell you which to get, though I know the 360 and PC versions has been confirmed to get DLC expansions later on. I can only guess that it will be available for the PS3 some months later.
