Beautiful Katamari also makes this list with 8 discounted items; bring the DLC from ludicrously expensive to just overly expensive. But if you have been on the fence for these items, this is your time to jump in.

Week #4 of the Weekly 360 Game Nights. Here we are a month later and still going fairly strong for our group. This week’s game was Burnout: Revenge. Three members of our group joined the festivites: DirtpileFox, PelicanSteve, and Archbishop Xero. Archbishop Xero hosted the bouts.

The ranked goodness began with a series of 1 Round matches. PelicanSteve boosted his way to an easy victory the first match. Dirtpile won the second match with a .2 second win over Archbishop. And in a stunning turn of events, Xero pulled out a win on the third match thoroughly disappointing PelicanSteve. We raced and wished for a new car: The Krispy Kreme Racer (hot doughnuts NOW!).

Then things took a turn for the more interesting. The room piled up with random racers from around the world. Spyder888, ThwartedVash, and (ironically enough) BagODohNuts (and others) competed throughout the evening. Once Vash was cleansed with a little ointment, DohNuts found out that we weren’t actually out to get him.

There was no Takedown Fest tonight… and no achievements awarded, that I am aware of.

For those keeping track, some statistics:

PelicanSteve:

Matches Played: 10

Matches Won: 3

Total Takedowns:<10

Medals: Team Rankings Leader

Memorable Moment: Breaking into the Top 10,000 in the World Rankings.

Archbishop Xero:

Matches Played: 10

Matches Won:1

Total Takedowns<geckopastefix></geckopastefix>: <15

Medals: Captain Obvious

Memorable Moment: Krispy Kreme Racer…

DirtpileFox:

Matches Played:10

Matches Won:1

Total Takedowns<geckopastefix></geckopastefix>: <10

Medals: The “A for Effort” Medal

Memorable Moment: Cleaning up his $#@^ing foul mouth, $#% Damm!#

On a sidenote: Bran started her own game night this evening. Branching out with the Wii, she laid some cooking smack down in Ratatouille. Being a single player game, there was not mucht rash talk, but suffice it to say that the TV received quite the verbal beatdown.

For those keeping track, some statistics:

BrandyWine:

Hours Played: 2

Slides Dominated: 2

Stars Collected: > 250

Medals: Sous Chef

Memorable Moment: Finally learning how to survive the drain pipe slide.

See you next Wednesday. Game of the Night: Halo 2. Backup games: Gears of War, Bomberman Live, NCAA Football 2008

Week #2 of the Weekly 360 Game fest has come and gone. Last night, the game of the night was Burnout: Revenge.

The festivities began as PelicanSteve hosted the first match. It was an all out race to the finish (where else would we go?) between him, Archbishop Xero, and SlippyWeaselz. Racing through the back alleys of the Motor City warehouses, the mountainous hill of the Alps, and the inner city tracks of Asia Minor – the group hustled through many exciting races. Round for round, PelicanSteve stole the pole and never relented… finishing with 3 First places rounds. The results of Match #1: PelicanSteve (12), SlippyWeaselz (10), Archbishop Xero (8).

Match #2 started with a bang as the same group launched out of the gates, not towards the finish line, but into each other. The Takedown Wars had begun. PelicanSteve and Xero, having learned from previous matches, came to bat with the Low Rider (medium weight). Slippy came to the gunfight with his sword, the (superlight) Indy car. The carnage persist for 25 minutes as the combatants trudged around the track, blowing each other up as many times as possible… Many civilians perished during this race… and in the end, we accrued 200+ takedowns. Race results: PelicanSteve, Archbishop Xero, SlippyWeaselz.

For those keeping track, some statistics:

PelicanSteve:

Matches Played: 3

Matches Won: 2

Total Takedowns: ~80

Memorable Moment: Forcing Archbishop Xero off the freeway into a concrete pillar… exploding into a fireball… down three stories… into oncoming traffic. Found to be genetically predisposed to liking chicken.

Archbishop Xero:

Matches Played: 3

Matches Won: 1

Total Takedowns<geckopastefix></geckopastefix>: ~80

Memorable Moment: Shot PelicanSteve 30 feet straight into the air for the takedown. Backed into SlippyWeaselz… exploded… credit went to Pelican.

SlippyWeaselz:

Matches Played: 3

Matches Won: 0

Total Takedowns<geckopastefix></geckopastefix>: ~70

Memorable Moment: Took out the Low Riders by driving underneath them. Ordered takeout chinese: Orange Chicken.

See you next Wednesday. Game of the Night: Halo 2. Backup games: Gears of War, Catan, and Worms.
