“Red Tandy” by The Mother Hips [Rock Band] August 26, 2008
Posted by Archbishop Xero in : Playstation 3, Rhythm, XBOX 360 , add a commentI haven’t been keeping up with the Rock Band DLC much lately. Life has been kinda hectic with the new baby and all. However, I was just turned on to a song that has been out for Rock band for a while now: “Red Tandy” by The Mother Hips.
I’d never heard of the band before, much less this song, until a few minutes ago. Check it out:
I believe it is well worth the 160 MS Points for this song. It has great parts for every instrument and vocals.
Harmonix explains how Rock Band 2 connects with Rock Band 1 August 21, 2008
Posted by xerocube in : News, Party, Playstation 3, Rhythm, XBOX 360 , add a commentI love Rock Band and have been thrilled about the impending release of Rock Band 2. Of course, my (and many others, I’m certain) main concern dealt with all the DLC songs I’ve purchased for Rock Band. Will they transfer over to Rock Band 2, or will i have to continue playing Rock Band 1 to get my Grateful Dead fix?
Thankfully, Harmonix assuaged my fears and confirmed that all RB1 DLC will work in RB2 with no problems. They didn’t stop there… they went one step further and confirmed that, at least XBOX 360, owners of RB1 can transfer their “on-disc” tracks to RB2. How is that you say??? Read on!
MTV Multiplayer » Harmonix: How ‘Rock Band 2? Lets You Access First Game’s Songs
Well, it’s going to cost any gamer who wants to transport their “RB” 1 songs to “RB2? a little money and it will require two discs — just once. Harmonix PR man John Drake broke it down for me on Tuesday:Drake said that on the day “Rock Band 2? is released — September 14 for the Xbox 360 version — a patch will be issued for the original game. That title update will add an Export feature to the original “Rock Band” game’s menu. Gamers who select that feature will be prompted to input a password, which will be included with copies of “Rock Band 2.” Then you have to pay.
Fallout 3 Release Date August 21, 2008
Posted by xerocube in : Action, Adventure, News, PC, Playstation 3, RPG, XBOX 360 , add a commentGreat news from Bethesda! They’ve announced the release date for Fallout 3. I have always been a huge fan of the Fallout IP and have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new installment. From the press release:
Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that its highly anticipated title, Fallout® 3, will be available on store shelves and online in North America on October 28, 2008 and in Europe on October 31, 2008.
More information comes from Amazon.com in terms of pricing and editions. There will be three editions to the game: Standard, Collector’s, and, the Amazon.com exclusive, Survival editions for the XBOX 360, PS3, and the PC. I can’t tell you which to get, though I know the 360 and PC versions has been confirmed to get DLC expansions later on. I can only guess that it will be available for the PS3 some months later.
This about sums it up… [Geometry Wars 2] August 19, 2008
Posted by Archbishop Xero in : Arcade, XBOX 360 , add a commentGeometry Wars 2 has been the best 800 magical mystery points I have spent on XBL in quite some time. It’s a fantastic game that has consumed many hours of my life. Unfortunately, it’s usually in the most frustrating way. It’s difficult not to throw the controller through the tv in a fit of rage.
It’s comforting to know that I am not alone, but I must appluad this gentleman here for venting in such a unique way.
